We're in the UEFA Cup championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!







I started working at Willem II as a hostess on the businessclub tribunes in 1999, when Willem II Tilburg played in the UEFA Champions League. I worked there for 5 seasons and saw nearly every home game. Although lots of players left this season (and now play for the national team, and that other Dutch succesteam in the UEFA cup semi final: AZ), I am more than proud of Willem II for having beaten Ajax in the Amstel Cup semi final (comparable to FA cup) this thursday.

For the final they're up against PSV Eindhoven (who beat Feyenoord), a city that's just around the corner, so we're looking at a true derby. Although PSV has suggested moving the Final to their Eindhoven stadium for convenience sake, I'm hoping the final will still be played in The Kuip, Feyenoord's 50.000 stadium in Rotterdam.

I was there when Utrecht played the Amstel Cup final against Feyenoord two years ago (and won!), and I hope I can be there again at the 29th of May for this year's Grand Final..

By reaching the Amstel Cup final, and PSV allready playing Champions League next year, Willem II has allready obtained an official ticket for the UEFA cup championship next season.
